Put your hair up! This song, and the rest of the Trolls soundtrack has been on constant rotation in our house for the last few weeks.
I’ll admit – Q and I are totally late to the Trolls party, having not watched the movie until just a few weeks ago. We recently stumbled upon it, though, and from pretty much the first few moments, Q (and me too, let’s be honest) has hooked. Since then, we’ve watched it and listened to the soundtrack, more times than I can count. Every time I feel a bit down, I hear Princess Poppy singing “I will get back up again!” and it makes me smile.
Q’s been sick over the last couple weeks, fighting a case of tonsillitis and strep throat, and these peppy little trolls have brightened our sick days again and again. Imagine how excited he was when he discovered that an all new Trolls series was coming to Netflix.
Trolls: The Beat Goes On picks up right where the movie left off, following the adventures of Poppy, Branch, Cooper, Guy Diamond, and all the rest of their friends (even Mr Dinkles)! Even our Bergen friends King Grisel and Bridget are there.
Filled with all the cheery, happy fun and adventure that we’ve come to expect from our Troll friends, Trolls:The Beat Goes On is just as hilarious as you’d expect it to be. Even our puppy Gator loves watching the Trolls with his best buddy!
One of my favourite episodes involves Poppy trying to plan birthday parties for both Branch and Bridget at the same time. I do have to admit, though, the thought of anchovy and mayo pizza is pretty gross. You’ll just have to watch the episode to understand.
I love that this show has given Q and I a new something to look forward to watching together. Now that school is back in, and routines are back to normal, it’s nice to have something special that the two of us like to watch together. Honestly, that has to be one of my most favourite parts of Netflix – it really brings our family together on ordinary nights.
As for me? I’m busy working my way through several seasons of Bones. My university training was actually in forensic anthropology, so I’ve loved this show since it started, however, life hot in the way and I fell behind many seasons. I don’t know about you all, but once I finish a series, I always have a hard time trying to figure out what to watch next. I usually bounce from show to show till I find something that grabs me. My currently watching list almost always has about 6 or 7 shows on it at any given time, haha. I am always happy to share my favourites, but I would love to hear what you are watching too.
