Our trip to Universal Studios – Q’s views

Hi guys, this is Q, and in my last post about Gatorland, I promised that I’d tell you all about our trip to Universal Studios, that that is what I’m going to talk about today. So I hope you guys will like it.

Today, when we woke up, Mom told me that we were going to Universal Studios today. I was so excited, so I couldn’t wait to go. We went at 9:00 in the morning, and on the way there, we got a little bit lost and went to the wrong place. We had to get a security guard to help us and let us through a special way in the car. Finally, we found the right place for Lola to drop us off. After Lola dropped us off, we went into Universal Studios and there was a ton of people. We stopped at Starbucks first because Mom wanted a Starbucks drink and we talked to a really nice police officer. Then we headed to the gates to go into the park. It was super crowded and super busy and there was a long line of people.

Then we finally got inside, and we went into a huge Universal shop. It was nearly like the mini shop in the airport, but way bigger. My mom got me Harry Potter’s wand, from Harry Potter. There were two types of wands you could get. One, you could actually do stuff with in the park, like, say for example, cast the ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ spell and make a broom go up. The other one you just pretend to do the spells but it doesn’t actually work. I got the one that actually works. It took me a long time to choose my wand. They had so many wands, like Ginny Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Albus Dumbledore. There were lots of others too.

After we got the wand, we met Scooby Doo and Shaggy, and got to see the Mystery Machine! Then we tried to find Diagon Alley, so then we stopped to ask a security guard for directions. His name was CJ, and he had a long conversation with mom and me but mostly me. He liked my Star Wars Rebels shirt. He was really awesome, because he was so kind and liked Star Wars too. I’m glad we met him!

When we got to London, we got to see King’s Cross Station. We still couldn’t find Diagon Alley, so we stopped to ask a lady who worked at the Station. She talked to us and was very confused, asking what “Diagonal Alley” was because a lot if people asked her that and it was funny. She was a Muggle, someone who doesn’t know magic. Finally we found Diagon Alley, and saw a bunch of wizard shops, like Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.

We went inside for a bit, and then we went to the robe shop for a bit but didn’t get any robes.

Then we went to the Gringott’s ride, called Escape from Gringott’s. I won’t tell you too much about the rides, so I don’t spoil it if you ever go to Universal. On this ride, we went on a Gringott’s train, saw a wizard and a witch (but I won’t tell you who), then we moved a bit and saw 2 wizards and a witch and a goblin, then we saw a dragon and a wizard. Everyone was clapping at the end of the ride, because we made it out alive.

After that ride, we took the Hogwarts Express to go to Hogsmeade. We had to go through King’s Cross station and the go through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4. That was pretty neat.

It was really fun in Hogsmeade. I got a Butterbeer and shared it with my mom at The Leaky Cauldron.

After that, we went inside Hogwarts, and that was a ride. It was fun and scary, like the Gringott’s ride.

Then we went on on Buckbeak’s ride. It was a roller coaster and we all got to ride on Buckbeak.

We went to Honeydukes and saw all kinds of candy and I did spells with my wand all over the park.

Then we went to another part of the park, which was like a desert, with washrooms and a snacks. It wasn’t that interesting, then we went to a medieval part and saw a real sword, the next part was Marvel and we went on a Spider-Man ride. I got to meet Captain America there.

After that we went to Dr. Seuss land. I will ride ride by myself for the rest I went on red Fish blue Fish one Fish two Fish by myself. The ride was very fun because there was water and you can move it up-and-down. There was another ride that explored Suess land and gave you your ABC’s around Seuss land.

Mom’s note: We went on a King Kong ride too, which was pretty cool, it was a new one and I wasnt even scared, haha.

Then I want to the other part of Universal which was the Simpsons. My favourite rides there was an alien one where the aliens talks about it like it’s not taking over but it actually is taking over and you get to hit the Simpson family and a bunch of other friends. We saw Krusty burger and we also saw the Bumblebee Man’s  taco stand. We went on few more rides and then after it was time to go. I hope I get to come back soon .

Mom’s note: That ride was called Kang and Kodo’s Twirl and Hurl. I’m thankful that even though there was some twirling, there was no hurling. Ha!

We stayed until the very end of the day when the park closed and on the way out, we stopped in at the store where I got the wand and mom got me a Hedwig and a Harry Potter shirt too. It was an awesome, fun day. My mom was really tired at the end of the night and I had to encourage her to keep going, but she did! I was proud of her.

Bye-bye.
