Making memories – Disney on Ice Let’s Party! comes to Vancouver

One of my favourite childhood memories was going to see the Ice Capades with my family as a special treat. The excitement of seeing the skaters, the music, the lights was enough to be something that has stuck in my memory well more than 20 years later. It is something that I hope to be able to give Q, just like my parents gave me.

The past couple of years we have attended Disney on Ice when it has come to Vancouver. The first year, my parents took Q and my nieces as part of their Christmas present and M and I brought a friend and her son. We had a great time, and I know that Q will have those memories for a long time to come. They got treats of “coppin” candy and popcorn and he came home with a Viking hat that he still wears. I am SO thankful that my parents were able to experience a show with him, as they did with us so long ago.

Last year, M, Q and I attended together and we had such an amazing night. So of course I was excited to hear that Disney on Ice was returning again this year and once I saw the theme of the show, I knew we had to go.

“Let’s Party! is all about experiencing the holidays through the eyes of the Disney characters. With Mickey’s Digital Global Destinator, we are able to travel to far-off places like China for the Chinese New Year and to Brazil for Carnival. Audiences will also be able to travel to exciting events with their favorite Disney characters, including a Valentine’s Day Royal Ball with Princess Tiana;

The show runs from November 26-30, 2014 and will be held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Tickets are available now at Ticket Leader and range from $25-85, with special prices for kids tickets and opening night.

I think that experiences like this are ones that make memories that last forever. Do you have any favourite memories like this from your childhood?
